We’re so glad you’re going to join us. Our services run about an hour long and provide an opportunity to connect with God through heartfelt worship and creative preaching.
Madmen, Scoundrels, & Heroes
A drunk, a nomad, a bully, a murderer, an immigrant, and a lunatic – these are the people who make up the Bible. They are not the perfect people we give them credit for. The Bible is unashamed in its claim that God uses messy people to do great things. For the next few months we’ll be looking at their stories to learn more about the God of the Mess and what he’s up to in our lives.
What is worship like?
When it comes to worship, we believe the heart matters more than the music, leader, or songs. All of those things matter (a lot), but if we get the heart part wrong, it just becomes a distraction. For this reason, we keep worship simple. We usually have 4-5 songs. These songs are a time for you to be still, stand, connect, or whatever your heart needs to do.
What is your preaching style?
Our preaching style is a little heady, a little artistic, and a lot laid back. Every week our goal is to present the life giving truth of the Jesus Story in a way that inspires and equips us to move closer to this God person, we’ve gathered to talk about. Sometimes this means digging deep into a book of the Bible. Other times, we’ll use the Bible to look at a particular topic from lots of angles.
Can I ask Questions?
We welcome questions at Resonate. And one of the things unique about us is that we encourage you to ask questions during the sermon, by texting them in. Through out the sermon our speaker will pause to answer any questions that come in on the text toy. It’s a great way to engage and learn during the sermon.
